The Candy Coated Collection is on Etsy

My Blogs to Love Friday post is coming later today, but I realized I never did a full post on my Candy Coated Collection. A one-stop place to see the polishes and swatches so you don't have to search out the previous swatch posts. Those swatch posts will likely hold a bit more info but if you're simply looking for the swatches and not the info behind the polish this is the place. :)

The entire Candy Coated Collection is now available in my Etsy shop. 

There are five polishes in this collection: Lollipop Princess, Plum out of Chocolate, Peppermint Pinwheels, Glitter Me Gumdrops, and Frosting Coated Sprinkles.

Candy Coated Collection — Frosting Coated Sprinkles

Welcome to the last swatch of my Candy Coated Collection.

This is Frosting Coated Sprinkles inspired by the Candy Castle. Depending on which version of Candyland you look at you'll find some of the Castles with frosting, some with ice cream, and some with both. This polish was mixed up to look like the bright pink frosting decorating the Castle.

Contained in this bright pink shimmery frosting is 'sprinkles' of various colors and sizes in squares and hexes. I think this polish is the essence of Candyland melted down and bottled. :)

This is two coats of Frosting Coated Sprinkles over white. You'll have no trouble getting glitter on your nails with this polish!

This is two coats of Frosting Coated Sprinkles over bare nails. You can really see the shimmer contained in the polish in this picture.  Both pictures were taken after I applied top coat. There is so much glitter in this polish that it does have a rough finish when dry ... top coat really is a must with this one.

Candy Coated Collection — Lollipop Princess

The only polish from this collection inspired by a character and not a location. Lollipop Princess was inspired by Princess Lolly, resident of the Lollipop Woods and princess of Candyland.

Lollipop Princess has pink, purple, and yellow hex glitters. And, since every princess needs some bling, small purple holo glitters.

I'm going to have to try to get some better pictures. The colors are slightly off in this close-up and in the bottle picture.

Lollipop Princess over Wet n Wild I Need A Refresh-Mint.

In an effort to really showcase the holographic glitter I layered one coat of Lollipop Princess over Revlon Enchanting with a black accent nail. I think I caught the holo at just the right angle and light to make it flare. Mostly I caught the bright blue flares but it also turns a white/purple and a bright pink. You can see one small flash of pink on my pinky nail.

I have been dying to see this glitter matte since I first mixed it up so I decided to add a layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy. Wow! I don't ever want to take this off!!!

Candy Coated Collection — Plum out of Chocolate

Hello lovelies! I'm here with another swatch from my Candy Coated Collection. This seems to be the most popular of all my new polishes. Meet Plum out of Chocolate. :)

Plum out of Chocolate is every chocolate lovers worst nightmare! Inspired by Chocolate Mountain, located in the deserts of northwestern Candyland. Chocolate Mountain is home to Gloopy, the strange looking, friendly creature who resides in Chocolate Mountain's Raw Chocolate Pools. Chocolate Mountain also plays home to Gramma Gooey who rewards those who reach the top peaks of Chocolate Mountain with homemade chocolate goodies. Can I get some of those please??

Plum out of Chocolate is filled with large bronze and gold hex glitters and bronze micro glitters. You'll also find gorgeous holographic purple micro glitters.

My very first swatch after mixing up this glitter was two thin coats over Wet n Wild I Red A Good Book.

My most recent swatch was one fairly thin coat over OPI Tickle My France-y. I tried everything to get a good picture of this stunning combo but nothing I tried put everything in a good light. I would either lose the large glitters, the base color, or the micro glitters. This was the closest I could get to showing everything.

Candy Coated Collection — Glitter Me Gumdrops

Hello lovelies and welcome to my new followers! I've been going through the entries of my 1st Blogiversary Giveaway and keeping track of all the things you guys want to see more of this year. I am loving all the answers! A lot of you want to see tutorials and more nail art. I've been slacking a bit on the nail art, but I will definitely work on doing more! Tutorials are a bit harder. I always forget to take pictures while I'm doing my nail art, but I'll work on that too!! And I know at least one of you wanted to see swatches of my Candy Coated Collection. That's something I can do immediately ... okay, so maybe through a series of posts.

The Candy Coated Collection was inspired by my all time favorite childhood game, Candy Land. Each polish was inspired by a 'land' in Candy Land. I'll start with the unexpected gem, in my opinion, of this collection. This is Glitter Me Gumdrops, inspired by the Gumdrop Mountains/Gumdrop Pass.

The common colors of gumdrops are yellow, red, green, and purple. Sometimes you'll find blue instead of purple. I used all these colors in various sizes, all hex glitter. I also added a small amount of large white glitter and a ton of holographic shimmer. Those little white flecks you can see floating around if you look close? That's all holo!! To make this even better? Some of those purple glitters are holo too! All that small sparkle reminds me of the sugar on gumdrops. :) Ready to see it on?

This is two coats over Sinful Colors Beautiful Girl.

I liked it over pink so much that I tried just one coat over Wet n Wild Candy-licious. Okay, so maybe using this pink did have a little something to do with the name. Since most of this glitter is so small it stays suspended really well and the brush picks it up easily so there's no trouble getting it out of the bottle. The medium blue, red, and green are easy to get out but might take a bit of pushing to get them arranged on your nails. I used very little of the large white glitters in this polish since I wanted it to be a nice surprise when you did get one on your nail. That said, I honestly didn't try to get the white glitter and my brush picked up two. You could certainly get more if you tried.

The last picture I want to share is a close up of Glitter Me Gumdrops over Candy-licious. You can really see the shimmer here. I think all the small shiny glitters really add to the large matte glitters and create a pretty effect.

It feels really weird blogging about something I created! Weird, but in a good way if that makes sense. :)
